The most affordable AI try-on for Shopify in 2026

Pricing below is taken from public Shopify App Store listings and vendor pricing pages checked in early September 2026. Apps change tiers fast — confirm the billing screen before you commit.
Affordability is not the sticker price. It is what you pay at your monthly try-on volume: plan fee plus overage, divided by try-ons used. A $10 plan you outgrow in week two is more expensive than a $39 plan you fit inside. This article runs that math at 100, 500 and 1,000 try-ons a month across SnapIT, Icona, Antla, Genlook and Nivera — plus why Banuba sits in a different price band entirely.

Three numbers decide the winner at any volume: the monthly plan fee, included try-ons, and the per-try-on overage beyond the plan. Free-tier credits matter only for the trial runway — they vanish once real traffic arrives.
Estimate your own volume first: monthly product-page sessions × expected try-on adoption (start with 2–5%). A store with 10,000 product-page sessions and 3% adoption needs ~300 try-ons a month. Price every app at that number, not at the headline plan.
Icona and Genlook give 10 credits a month — enough to validate image quality on a few hero SKUs before paying. SnapIT gives 2 credits on install: enough to see one result, then you pick a paid plan. Antla has no free plan, only a 7-day trial — factor $19.99 into the pilot budget.
Free credits are a trial, not a strategy. At even modest traffic they cover days, not months. Rank them for evaluation comfort, then compare paid tiers for the real decision.
SnapIT Starter at $10/month for 112 covers the whole volume — about $0.09 per try-on effective, the cheapest paid entry on this list. Icona Neo at $14.99 for 150 also covers it with room to spare. Antla Trend at $19.99 for 100 lands just short, with $0.16 overage on the spillover. Genlook's $19.99-for-100 tier prices identically to Antla here.
Winner at 100: SnapIT, then Icona. If Nivera's mirrored $29.99-for-1,000 tier were real it would win this band — but it is unverified, so price it only after checking the billing screen.
SnapIT Growth at $39/month for 488 covers nearly all of it — the most try-ons per dollar in this band. Antla Runway at $49.99 for 500 covers it exactly. Icona has no 500-credit step: Pro ($29.99 for 250) plus 250 overage credits at $0.13 adds ~$32, landing near $62 — the priciest way to buy 500 here.
Winner at 500: SnapIT, then Antla. Icona's step sizes punish mid-volume buyers — verify whether its website pricing (Growth 400/mo at $49.99) or the App Store tiers apply to you.
SnapIT Pro at $99/month for 1,415 covers 1,000 with headroom — about $0.07 per try-on effective, falling to $0.06 on the Scale plan ($499 for 8,317). Icona Ultra at $99.99 for 1,000 covers it exactly at $0.10. Antla's Unlimited Fashion at $199.99 for 2,000 is roughly double the monthly fee for similar coverage. Genlook's $99-for-1,000 tier ties Icona here — verify current terms.
Above ~2,000 a month SnapIT Scale ($499 for 8,317) has no equivalent among the photo try-on apps on this list. Winner at 1,000+: SnapIT on price per try-on; Icona and Genlook tie for second at the $99 step.
Price per try-on is not value per try-on. Icona and Antla both sync try-on intent to Klaviyo and related stacks; SnapIT reports try-on behavior in its built-in analytics dashboard instead of syncing to email platforms. If Klaviyo flows are a requirement, that integration gap can outweigh a few dollars of monthly savings — see the SnapIT vs Antla and SnapIT vs Icona comparisons.
Nivera's mirrored tiers would make it the cheapest at every volume if real — $0.03, $0.02, even $0.017 per try-on. That is exactly why you must verify: third-party mirrors go stale, and the live App Store listing currently shows only a Free plan.
Banuba is excluded from the apparel ranking on purpose. At $319+/month for 10,000 AR try-ons it serves high-traffic beauty catalogs (makeup, eyewear, lenses, hair dye) where live-camera overlay is the right technology — not a clothing store buying 300 photo try-ons.
At paid entry, SnapIT Starter at $10/month for 112 try-ons is the cheapest verified tier among the photo try-on apps compared here — down to $0.06 per try-on at scale. Icona ($14.99) and Antla ($19.99) start higher. Nivera looks cheaper on a third-party mirror, but its live listing shows only a Free plan, so verify before budgeting.
Icona and Genlook both offer 10 free credits a month; SnapIT gives 2 credits on install. These cover evaluation, not ongoing traffic — any store with real volume needs a paid plan.
Banuba is a different product: live-camera AR for beauty and accessories (makeup, eyewear, lenses, hair dye) starting around $319/month for 10,000 try-ons on Shopify. Apparel photo try-on apps start near $10–20/month because they generate from existing catalog photos instead of digitizing AR assets per SKU.
